This is a list of projects that I have worked on and want to work on eventually.

This page is really just for me to keep track of some of the cool stuff have done & want to do, so it may not mean much to anyone else out there…

Projects I’ve done/worked on:

I may or may not get around to creating pages or uploading pictures of some of these projects that I’ve completed… Maybe with enough prodding I can take the time to do so.

Hardware:

• Arcade Machine conversion to MAME
  - Hacked Keyboard for interface to controls
  - 2 players with 8-way joy sticks & 3 buttons each
  - Stripped sides & painted blue
  - 17″ computer monitor w/ painted glass bezel
  - MAME with 10 games installed
  - Total investment: $30
  - Sold at local arcade auction for $200
• Arcade machine conversion to MAME
  - Purchased SFII CE cabinet for $50 (complete & working!)
  - J-Pac to interface with computer
  - Original 27″ arcade monitor
  - Sides stripped & black vinyl applied
  - New T-Molding
  - Sitting in my in-law’s garage waiting to be re-awakened…
• Multiple hacked keyboards for controls to hook up to a computer
• “Universal” arcade control box and PS2 adapter (with USB>>PS2 Adapter for computer use)
  - Designed to allow me to build any number of adapters out of hacked controllers/keyboards/etc…
• Canon Rebel XT wired remote shutter trigger

• PHP/MySQL app to manage Drawing Archival information at Falcon Steel Company
• PHP/MySQL to manage time-clock information for Drafting department at Newmark Int.

Hardware:

• USB/IR receiver for computer control via Universal remote control
  - Example Project here…
• X-Box Guitar Hero guitar converted to hacked USB keyboard interface
  - A friend lost the receiver to his X-Box Guitar Hero controller & gave the guitar to me
  - I have a gutted USB keyboard just waiting to be hacked into something
  - Combine the 2 & use it to control Frets On Fire
• Flash Slave for my camera
  - Something like this…
• Phone Handset to Cell Phone Headset cord…
  - I have all the parts, I just need to put it together now…
  - Like this one…
• Home made wind generator
  - Like this one…

Software:

• X10 control program to run schedules & house-modes
  - I’ve got a simple interface put together (check it out on the Programs Page!) & I’m working on a bigger (skinnable!!!) app to handle macros and scheduled events.
• Voice Recognition program to manage house automation (X10 & IR control)
  - I’m currently working on this one with a coworker. Well I’m working on the one listed above, he’s working on the Voice Activated stuff… I’m not too interested in the Voice stuff.  It’s a little too finicky for me.
  - He’s learning to program & this is our pet project to teach him some of the basics of programming
• Learn Flash Actionscripting…
  - There are so many times I have ideas I want to implement as an online interactive game, but I haven’t had the time to pickup the skills in flash…
