Just another Monday

Yup… Just another Monday…

This weekend our house was full of sick boys… I’ve got some nasty sinus blockage & a related soar throat. Both the boys have had some runny noses & Bradey has a fever today (101.8°)…

I had grand plans to go out & work on finishing up the desk I started to build a while back & we ended up running around to garage sales & other misc stored this weekend. Oh well, it’ll get finished up eventually, we just won’t be able to get much organizing done in our office unil it’s built & painted. (& it’s just a simple top w/ 4 legs… oy)

I did finally get to watch You Don’t Mess with the Zohan… Hah! I loved it… Of course I watched it while Melisa napped… Melisa is not so much into the slap-stick humor of Adam Sandler. I however have to go back & find some of the quotes that I must assimilate into my every-day verbage.

Hm… What else…

We’re finally going to get some work done on the house this week. I’m going to start tearing up the base-boards around our living room and the hall way during the evenings. Hopefully I’ll be able to salvage most of it so we won’t have to re-buy all that material. We’ll probably have a contractor remove our water heater (disconnect all the plumbing, drain it, & move it…) Thursday or Friday. I’ll start tearing up the hard-wood floors and subflooring in the closet & hallway Friday night along with any of the laminate flooring I can get around to. Saturday will be more tearing up & laying down new subflooring, Sunday I’ll be cleaning things up & prepping it all to get the new laminate. (& maybe trying to get the water heater back in place, but that’ll probably have to wait until Monday.)

Sunday night I’ll be at my parents’ house to hang with my sister & little nephew since they are in town for a short while.

Then hopefully early next week we can get the floor guys to come in & lay down the new laminate. (they said this job would only take a day to knock out). Then I’ll have to put all the trim back in place.

From the day we get the water heater removed until the new flooring is in place we’ll be staying at a local Hotel & eating out (on All-State Insurance’s tab) so that’ll be interesting. Melisa already said she’d be hanging with friends & family during the days, but we’ll be sleeping in the hotel.

Hopefully my sinuses stop abusing me before this weekend…

Oh, before I forget!!!
Anyone gonna be around this weekend to help a brother out with some home repairs? Just an able body & willing heart is all I’m asking for…

Anyhow, I’ve gotta get back to work…
