Taven's Room Finally Done!!!

We finally got Taven in his own room! His room was sort of a junk room/storage facility when we first moved in & we finally got everything out of there, painted the walls , ceiling & trim, & got all his stuff in there. The only thing missing is his changing table which I’m going to try & build this weekend. It’s going to sit on top of his dresser (one of those short wide ones with 6 drawers).

Next up on the list if to empty out of Bradey’s room (where our computer & other misc things have been) & get things piled up in our office (where Taven had been sleeping). Before I can move the computer, I have to finish running a new phone line into the office so I can hook up the DSL modem in there. Then we can remove the built-in desk in Bradey’s room, patch the carpet where a built-in shelf is, paint Bradey’s cubbies, walls, & ceiling, hang curtains, move in his stuff, and get ready for him to start sleeping through the night so he can sleep in his own room.

Then we’ll get to tackle our poor office which will be completely buried in boxes & bins & junk. We don’t have a lot of extra space here, so I’m going to have to get rid of a bunch of stuff, or store it out in the shed. I have a feeling ‘ll never get to work on my little fun projects that I’ve been wanting to get started on… (Robotics, CNC table, etc…) Oh well, I’ll just keep collecting parts & maybe one day I’ll have an opportunity to play.

Speaking of all work & no play, anybody know where I can get a cheap lawn mower & weed eater? My lawn is starting to grow & I need to hack it down before it starts to look atrocious… Ooh, I also need to talk to a tree trimmer to find out how much it’ll cost to get some limbs chopped down & to have a bunch of wood removed from my back yard. Got any good references?
