Uncle Ron bought a Ford Expedition here in TX, so he flew down to get it & he stayed long enough to have dinner with us. It was fun! Probably because he knew he was only going to be here for 2 hours… (Just kidding, I really do wish he could have stayed longer… I miss my family out West…)

In any case, we eat, & talked for a little over an hour before we all headed out. Taven was being such a good sport. He usually goes down @ 7:00, but we didn’t even get to our table until then… He was SO ready to pass out by the time he got passed over to Ron, that he looked at him (to make sure he was cool) & then he just passed right out.

He’s got his front-bottom 2 teeth in & you can see his top 2 aren’t too far behind, so we’re “looking forward” the a few more sleepless nights when those are cutting through.

He’s just so darn cute (Taven that is. Ron’s alright, but, well, you know…)! We’ve got pictures from all of 2006 on our screen saver & we end up dropping what we’re doing & just watching that a lot of times…

Welp, I’m tired. I’m going to sleep now.

Here I am againm staying up late to try & get some pics uploaded because I’ve neglected to do so for 2 months. Well, there they are, Jan & Feb. All pics of Taven. I’ve taken a few more pics, but I need to reorganize my site to more easily allow me to set up photo albums.

I want to set up an album for family (which of course be almost all pics of Taven). But I also want to start to show off some of my “artistic” photography… I love taking pictures & I’ve not been able to take my camera along with me because I had to leave it home in case Melisa needed it. Well, we fixed that. I bought a Canon Elph 550. It’s a small camera (barely bigger than a deck of cards) but it takes some GREAT pictures. It came in the mail yesterday & Melisa loves it.

I’m going to try & keep my Rebel with me now so I can stop whenever I see a sight worth recording, or whenever I get the urge to “get all artsy fartsy”. Hopefully, with some practice, I’ll be able to find a style, or nitch that I fit into. I’d love to get to the point that photography is bringing in a little extra money, but I’m not going to hold my breath at this point. I’ve got a long way to go & a lot to learn before that would be feasible.

In any case, I hope you enjoy reading through this blog. I know I don’t post very often, but I’m trying to be a little more open about who I am and where I am in life when I do post. Maybe this way some of you who aren’t around here will get a chance to get to know me a little better. Maybe I’ll even learn a little something about myself in the midst of all of this.
