New Year

Well, here we are! A new year, a new beginning! That’s what everyone is saying anyway, right? I’m all about making change as you see it… Why wait for some seemingly “special day” to start making resolutions for your life? Why not make a resolution to change when you see the problem or when you come across the solution? Why is January first such a special day to wait for? I really don’t get it.

Beginnings are what you make of them, not some special date on the calendar. Ug… (yeah yeah, blah blah, I’m a scrooge for the new year, whatever!)

Anyhow, Christmas went pretty good for us. I had the week between Christmas & New Years off so I had lots of time to spend with Melisa & Taven. It’s never enough though… We did the typical thing & stayed around town & went to the parents’ houses. Then hung out with our friends “the McSorley Clan” for New Year’s Eve. As usual, Melisa crashed early & I had to wake her up to give her a kiss. (Hey even if I don’t like the whole resolution thing, I can still have some tradition…)

Anyhow, I’m back @ work & we’ve got some exciting projects coming up, so I’m sure I’ll have some interesting new one way or the other in the “not-too-distant” future regarding all that.

On other fronts, Brooke (my sister-in-law) found out she’s pregnant! About a week later she started losing a lot of blood though & had to go the Dr to get checked out to see if the baby was OK… She’s still pregnant (as of today), but she needs your prayers! Brooke & Justin were sure they had miscarried, but Melisa held firm to the belief that God is bigger than anything we can imagine & she prayed that the baby would still be with us. God’s listening. He acting. Please join us in our pleas to our Lord & Savior to get the opportunity to meet this next young Choate baby.

Talk to you later. Please feel free to leave comments or email me any time. I’d love to hear from you.
